How to Fix JBL Reflect Flow Pro Stuck in Mono Mode

how to fix JBL reflect stuck in mono mode problem

So, your JBL Reflect Flow Pro earbuds are stuck in mono mode and you don’t know what to do? Well, there’s nothing to worry about as this could be fixed easily without any technical knowledge.

The reason why your JBL Reflect Flow Pro earbuds are not shifting between mono and stereo mode is because of a software glitch. This could happen if you have recently updated the firmware or you have connected your JBL Reflect Flow Pro buds to a new device.

Secondly, it could be due to a connection issue where the right earbud is unable to make a connection with the left earbud. Lastly, you may have connected your earbuds to a device that mono mode enabled on it, this can prevent the JBL earbuds from changing the mono mode.

How to Get Your JBL Reflect Flow Pro Earbuds Out of Mono Mode?

Here’s how to fix this problem:

1. Restart Your Earbuds

Sometimes, software glitches and bugs could cause the earbuds to not respond even if you try to do so. More often, updating your current device or your earbuds’ firmware can cause such type of issues.

In this case, the first thing to do is to restart your earbuds. Here’s how you can do this:

  • Put your JBL Reflect Flow Pro earbuds back in the case
  • Let them sit there for 30 seconds or 1 minute
  • Now open the lid and take out your earbuds
  • The earbuds will restart automatically

2. Reset Your Earbuds

If the above methods don’t work, it’s time to reset your earbuds to the default settings. To reset your earbuds, follow the method below:

  • Turn off your earbuds by holding the dedicated button
  • Put them back in the charging case
  • Now hold the power button on both earbuds for 10 seconds while they are still inside the case, this will turn off the LED indicator light
  • Once the light turns purple, release the button

3. Check Your Device Settings

Make sure that the device you are connected to isn’t set to operate in the mono mode. I’ve connected the JBL Reflect Flow Pro earbuds to my Android phone, therefore, I have searched for mono mode in the “Settings” menu.

See the image below:

As you can see, the “Mono Audio” option is disabled on my phone. If this is enabled, then your earbuds are more likely to be stuck in mono mode.

4. Connect With A Different Device

If the problem persists, then try connecting your JBL earbuds to a different device. This will help you find out if the problem is with the device or the earbuds.

5. Reconnect Bluetooth

Although, this doesn’t have a lot to do with your earbuds not shifting from mono to stereo mode, disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth can overcome such issues.

6. Check Physical Damage

If your earbuds have gone through an impact or any other kind of physical damage, then it is possible that the internal button or circuit has been affected, and now your earbuds are not reacting to any input properly.

If this is the case, try to send your earbuds back to JBL if they are under warranty to get a refund or replacement.

Conclusion

So, if your JBL Reflect Flow Pro earbuds are stuck in mono mode and nothing is working, then try restarting or resetting them first. Further on, check the device you are connected to to see if it is set to operate at mono mode.

I hope these fixes will help you overcome this mono-mode stuck issue. But if none of these works, then JBL always offers you a return or replacement option if your earbuds are under warranty.
